Whole Wheat Bread

This recipe tends to be a little dry, but I’m not sure what could be added to moisten it up. Otherwise, it’s really good. This is probably the one bread machine recipe we make all the time. Ingredients: 1 cup milk 3 tbsp water 4 tsp honey (or sugar) 1 tbsp butter or margarine 1-1/2 […]

Recipes & Copyright Law

This may seem like a weird post to have on a recipe sharing site, but there’s been some questions regarding some of the recipes I’ve been posting and whether or not I’m breaking copyright law by including them here. For the record, recipes are exempt from copyright law, so sharing lists of ingredients and directions […]

Sugar Cookies

Mmm…I love sugar cookie dough. I’m tempted to tweak the ingredient amounts after making the recipe I originally found. However, since I haven’t tried this recipe yet, I won’t mess with it. My thought process, if you want more than 1-2 dozen cookies, double the recipe. I tried a recipe similar to this (the only […]

Mint Chocolate Ice Cream Cake

Check out this recipe I found through the Pampered Chef. I haven’t had a chance to try this recipe yet, but I never would have thought to try this with my spring form pan. It’s definitely a new take on ice cream cakes and I might try this for Ian’s party next month. Ingredients: Crust […]

Peanut Brittle

This is a recipe I picked up from Better Homes & Garden.  Putting butter on the cookie sheets worked like a miracle.  The peanut brittle came off so easily that it came off as one piece…lifted right out.  I also have to say, for not measuring the baking soda, just sprinkling it over the mixture, […]

Hearty Lasagna

This is a great simple recipe for lasagna. It is quick and delicious. By using the sausage instead of the traditional hamburger certainly added great spice to it! A few changes I made was that I added a little bit more of the 5-cheese blend in each layer. Also, I used whole milk ricotta cheese […]
